I have been impressed by how well both staff and students have coped with the current phase of COVID restrictions (including mask wearing). While we are all looking forward to a return to normality, I know that most people are also prepared to put up with some discomfort and inconvenience if it means that we are protecting the health of the broader community and also avoiding another lockdown.
It is great to hear that the Premier has now announced that further restrictions will be eased and that mask wearing will no longer be compulsory in schools from 12.01am Saturday 8th May. This means that we will be able to proceed with our postponed second Parent Teacher Interviews on Tuesday 11th May (1.00pm-6.30pm).
Early finish for students
Students – Years 7 to 12 – will finish school at 12.15pm 11th May to accommodate the Parent Teacher Interviews. To minimise disruption to students we will run the first 3 periods as per their standard timetable.

Please note Year 9 students will be undertaking a NAPLAN test during Period 3. This test runs for approx. 85 mins. Therefore, Year 9 students will be released slightly later, from 12.30-12.45pm, after a small reward snack is provided.
Parent Interview Booking details
The existing parent interview bookings that were made through Parent Teacher On-Line (PTO) have been transferred to Tuesday May 11th. Due to the quantity of bookings scheduled there will be no additional appointments available. Parents can contact individual teachers via email if you have not been able to make an interview booking.

The new date for the Parent Teacher Interviews is dependent on no further changes to COVID-19 restrictions. Should restrictions change it may be necessary to amended the date again. Any changes to the interview day will be communicated via a Parent Update and the school’s website and Facebook page.
