Out of area intake application

Students living outside the local intake area are welcome to apply for enrolment by submitting an Enrolment Request Form (see below). The school will consider all applications and reply individually to each applicant; however, due to student numbers’ pressure, it is highly unlikely we will have spaces available in 2026 and 2027. We suggest that alternative arrangements are considered at an early date so that you are aware of the options.

To apply for an “Out of Area” enrolment, please complete the form below. To understand why the school collects personal information at enrolment, how it will be used, and when it may be shared, please see the Collection notice for enrolment at the end of the form.

Please note the documents required for your enrolment request to be processed are:

  • most current copy of the student’s academic school report and NAPLAN report
  • if applicable, a copy of any current Family Court orders

At the end of Term 3, applications from parents/guardians outside our local intake area are considered. The number is determined by the school’s capacity to accommodate further enrolments at the Principal’s discretion.

Student Placement Policy

The first priority is given to a student who has siblings currently enrolled at Applecross Senior High School, but not those siblings enrolled in Gifted and Talented or specialist programs from outside the local intake area.

Second priority is given to a student who lives nearest to Applecross Senior High School, with the distance being measured in a straight line on a horizontal plane.

The above criteria apply to students at all Year levels, and all parents/guardians will receive notification of successful/unsuccessful enrolment at each stage of the process.

Closing Date for Application

Application for enrolment at a Government School can take place at any time. The recommended date for applications to enrol in Year 7 2027, is by 24th July 2026.
