AXSHS MakerSpace in the Library

Enthusiastic students have been developing their STEM skills learning to knit.  The Knitting Project runs every Thursday lunchtime in the MakerSpace in the Library.  The first project they work on is a bookmark.

Finalist - Francis Burt Speech & Leadership Competition

Congratulations to Year Nine student Molly Howden who has been selected as a finalist in the 2017 Francis Burt Speech and Leadership Competition. Molly had to prepare a speech exploring the concept of “A Peace Building Commonwealth” and what the world can do to achieve this state.

Contact Applecross SHS

Student Council

The Applecross Senior High School Student Council is an important part of the school environment. The Council is the student representative body at the school and exists to provide students with an active voice. The Council makes decisions and provides advice to the school on a range of issues affecting students.
 
The Council consists of sixty elected representatives; ten in each year group. Each Year group has their own Student Council representing the interests of their respective students. The Head Boy and Head Girl are selected from the Year 12 representatives after a written application and interview.
 
The Student Representative Council (SRC) consists of the Head Boy and Head Girl and two representatives from each of the six Year Councils. The SRC meets three times per term and provides advice on whole school matters.
