The Applecross Senior High School Student Council is an important part of the school environment. The Council is the student representative body at the school and exists to provide students with an active voice. The Council makes decisions and provides advice to the school on a range of issues affecting students.
The Council consists of fifty elected representatives; ten in each year group. Each Year group has their own Student Council representing the interests of their respective students. The Head Boy and Head Girl are selected from the Year 12 representatives after a written application and interview.
The Student Representative Council (SRC) consists of the Head Boy and Head Girl and two representatives from each of the five Year Councils. The SRC meets three times per term and provides advice on whole school matters.
