On Friday 19th March, Applecross SHS competed in the A Division Interschool Swimming carnival at HBF stadium. The Applecross students performed admirably and consistently displayed the ability to give their personal best and mutual respect. We had several successful races on the day, including outstanding performances from some of our individual members. Whilst all members of Applecross SHS were successful on the day, honourable mention goes to the competitors below;
Callum Brown-Neaves – Year 7 Runner up champion boy
Nadia Mueller – Year 8 Champion girl
Kristian Seidl – Year 9 Champion boy
Harrison – Year 10 3rd place champion boy
Jessica Cooke – Year 10 3rd place champion girl
Lucas Ho – Year 11 3rd place champion boy
Amy Ellul – Year 11 Champion girl
Special mention goes to Stephen Parrick (Year 10) and Evan Fasher (Year 9), who competed in the year 12 events to make up team numbers and performed very well in those events. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our senior school students for giving up their valuable time to lead our team out there. Your effort is very much appreciated!
Out of the 12 possible podiums, we had a representative in 7 of them, including three year group champions. An outstanding effort from our students!
Applecross SHS finished the day in 4th place and was unlucky not to get on the podium;
1128 = Shenton
735 = Churchlands
683 = Perth Modern
639 = Applecross
638 = Carine
446 = Rossmoyne
