Year 8 River Cruise

The Year 8 River Cruise was well attended by students last night.  All students thoroughly enjoyed themselves, dancing the night away and socialising with friends.  A big thank you to all the staff who attended.

AXSHS Interschool Cross-Country

The Interschool Cross Country competition was held on Friday 19th May 2017.  Applecross SHS were well represented in all age-groups.  It was great to see so many students support their peers and cheer each other on.

Staff Association

Under the School Education Act 1999 and the Regulatory Framework, the Principal of the school holds ultimate responsibility and decision-making authority within the school. School staff are accountable to the Principal.

Purpose
To provide staff members with the opportunity for:

  • Discussion of issues
  • Participation in decision making
  • Exchange of information
  • Staff development
  • Promotion of social interaction
  • Representation of staff on the School Council
  • The organisation and control of the election of Staff Association members to the committees outlined in the committees section of the constitution.

Membership

  • All persons employed at the School by the Department of Education and Training in the role of educators are automatically members of the Association.
  • Free invitation shall be extended to all other staff to be members of the Association simply by registering their membership with the Chair.

Meetings
One meeting per term as whole school, scheduled other meetings if required.
