Out of Local Area Application

Students living outside the local intake area are welcome to apply for enrolment. The school will consider all applications and reply individually to each applicant; however, due to pressure of student numbers, it is highly unlikely we will have spaces available in 2019 and 2020. We suggest that alternative arrangements are considered at an early date so that you are aware of the options.

The school must be promptly informed of any change to details provided (including email address) and where necessary, the proof of residential address must be resubmitted. Please direct changes to: Applecross.SHS@education.wa.edu.au.

Please note the documents listed below are required for the next step in enrolment:

  • Most current copy of the student's academic school report and NAPLAN report
  • If applicable, a copy of any current Family Court orders (original to be sighted)
  • Copy of the child's immunisation records

At the end of Term Three, applications from parents/guardians outside our local intake area are considered with the number being determined by the school’s capacity to accommodate further enrolments at the Principal's discretion.

First priority is given to a student who has siblings currently enrolled at Applecross Senior High School, but not those siblings enrolled in Gifted and Talented or specialist programs from outside the local intake area.

Second priority is given to a student who lives nearest to Applecross Senior High School with the distance being measured in a straight line on a horizontal plane.

The above criteria apply to students at all Year levels, and all parents/guardians will receive notification of successful/unsuccessful enrolment at each stage of the process.

Closing Date for Application

Application for enrolment at a Government School can take place at any time. The recommended date for applications to enrol in Year 7 2021, is by 24th July 2020.

If you are interested in further information or wish to have an Enrolment Request Form sent to you, please do not hesitate to contact our Enrolment Officer on 9314 9393 or Applecross.SHS.Enrolments@education.wa.edu.au
