Trop-fest Film Festival

The Trop-fest film festival is recognised around the world. It is an Australian festival where the focus is firmly on the creation of short films. This is a contest and receives many entries. There is a section for student entries from high schools.

Year Nine students from Ms Stapleton’s class and Ms Lake’s Academic Extension class have elected to participate this year.  Students working co-operatively in groups have scripted, acted, filmed and edited short films focussed on the symbol of the word “Rainbow”.

As part of this project, every student designed a Film Poster advertising their work, samples of which are here for you to see. Choosing the best poster and the best film is going to be extremely difficult, as the standard of work presented here is very good indeed. Students have utilised composition, colour, symbolic images and placement of written text to create some amazing posters.
