Our talented Mathematics students had the opportunity to pit their wits against students from many other schools in the state on two Friday nights in March. The Upper School team was at Trinity College on March 10 and performed well against very competitive opposition.
It is wonderful to see the new shade structure connecting the Art Block to S Block has finally been completed. Student seating has been moved to this area and the handball courts will be relocated.
Is your teenager ready to learn to drive?
As part of our strong commitment to student well-being and safety, our school has implemented the Keys for Life pre-driver education program. By participating in this program, our students can start their driver’s licence at school, save on the learner’s permit fee and gain a graduation point toward their WA Certificate of Education; while focusing on the importance of driving practice, positive attitudes, and ways to plan ahead to avoid road crashes.
Learning to drive can be an exciting time for a young person. It can also be a little daunting and confusing for parents and learner drivers. You are invited to attend a free workshop with your son or daughter, to find out more about:
· the benefits of driving practice
· how to help your learner get their L and P plates
· your role as a driving supervisor
· tips to make driving lessons less stressful
· common crashes for new drivers and how to avoid these.
The Keys for Life workshop is for parents and students to attend and will be held:
WHERE: Applecross Senior High School Auditorium
WHEN: Thursday 4th May 2017 (Term 2, Week 2)
TIME: 6.30* - 7.30pm
**This workshop will commence at 6:30 sharp so please be prompt.
